Hello, Farnsworth students and families! This is Ms. Theisen’s first year at Farnsworth! She received her undergraduate degree in Spanish and Portuguese Studies and her Master in Teaching Second Languages and Cultures from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. She has teaching licenses in both Spanish and English as an Additional Language. She spent one year studying literature at the University of Sevilla in Spain and was an English language assistant in bilingual public schools in Sevilla and Córdoba for two years before returning to teach in Minnesota. This is her fourth year teaching in Minnesota. She has taught English language in elementary, middle, and high school and enjoys teaching all levels. 

       When she’s not at school, she enjoys traveling, hiking, camping on the North Shore, going for bike rides around the Twin Cities, and dancing. She also really enjoys reading. Her favorite genres are nonfiction and magic realism. She also enjoys studying and learning foreign languages.

       She lives in the Twin Cities with her husband and enjoys spending time with her family. She is so excited to meet students and families this fall!
