Noah Zernechel

Hello! I'm an ELL teacher here at Humboldt, and  I began teaching here in 2018; this is my 4th year teaching and my 4th year at Humboldt. I have an BA in History from St. Thomas and a Master's in Second Language Education from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. I have taught grades 9-12 English Language Development and co-taught English Language Arts as well. I am also a senior advisor and one of two graduation coordinators here at Humboldt High School.

When not working, I am a big fan of being outside. I enjoy hiking, kayaking, camping, and fishing. I love to travel; I take a trip at almost every opportunity I can. I am an avid reader and I try to read at least 20 books a year. I also enjoy cooking, spending time with my friends and family, watching TV and movies, and running.

I live in south Minneapolis now, but I grew up in the Anoka area. My family is quite small, and I'm very close with my mom and dad. I consider my friends to be like family. I have known my oldest friend for 23 years old and he is like a brother to me. I also have several other friends who I grew up with and am still very close with.

One thing I love about Humboldt is the diversity of our student body and the plethora of different experiences and ideas they come to school with. I also love out staff, and I truly believe we have one of the most dedicated, caring, and motivated staff in St. Paul.

Go Hawks!
