• Welcome to Miss Amanda's Pre-Kindergarten Class

Hello, Hamline Families! My name is Amanda Jagdeo and I am lucky enough to be joining the Huskies as a Pre-Kindergarten teacher. I use the pronouns she/her. The 2021-2022 school year will be my 13th year in education. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science from the University of Missouri - Columbia, as well as a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from George Mason University. I have had the privilege of teaching students across the country from Prince George's County, Maryland, where I taught Pre-K and 2nd grade, to Richmond, California where I taught kindergarten. I have also had the opportunity to coach teachers and most recently I have been a lead kindergarten teacher in Northeast Minneapolis. I am originally from Minnesota and I am thrilled to have the chance to expand my community connections here at Hamline. In my free time I love to read, go for runs and spend time with my family. You might even catch me walking my dog, Torii, around the Midway neighborhood!
