Welcome! I am the library media specialist at Horace Mann School. I have many years of experience working in an elementary setting. Prior to this role, I was a science specialist at Maxfield Elementary in SPPS and, before that, a classroom teacher in Minneapolis Public Schools. I received a B.A. from UCLA, and later earned my elementary teaching license, as well as, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Hamline University. 

When I am not teaching, I love to spend time with family, read, sail in the summers, go on hikes with my two dogs, and travel. I was born and raised in California, and therefore, try to visit my family as much as possible. My husband, Jon, works in neurological rehabilitation. We live in Minneapolis just over the Ford Parkway Bridge. 

In addition to checking out books, students attend weekly lessons in the media center. Our lessons are aligned with the AASL Standards Framework.
