  • Hi!

My name is Tasha, and I am the English Language (EL) teacher at Hamline. I work with students and teachers so that multilingual learners (MLL) develop their skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening in academic language that they need to be successful in school!

This is my second year at Hamline. I grew up in the Twin Cities and attended the University of Minnesota, where I received my B.A. in English and Spanish and then continued on to earn my M.Ed in Second Language Education. During my studies, I had the opportunity to work and volunteer in elementary and secondary schools across Minneapolis and St. Paul. I have taught English in South America, West Africa, and the Middle East and have worked with learners from all around the world! I speak English and Spanish. Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with friends, practicing yoga, and cooking and eating food from around the world.

I am so excited to get to know your child and family this year!
