Hello students and families!
My name is Brianne Hartberg, and I will be teaching E1 with 2nd and 3rd graders this year in room 1404.
I have been teaching for eleven years, and I'm excited about starting my first year here at Crossroads! I got my B.A. degree in English and psychology from the University of Minnesota, where I also completed my Masters of Education in Elementary Education. Right after college, I started teaching in after-school and summer school programs across the Twin Cities in grades K-8, and I worked as an E2 teaching assistant in a Montessori school. I also spent a year teaching English to 1st-6th graders in Daegu, South Korea. Since I returned, I have taught kindergarten and 3rd grade, and I've been looking forward to working as an E1 teacher and continuing my education through a Montessori training program.
In my free time, I love spending time with my family, including my husband, our daughter Cora, and our dog Greta, traveling, cooking, and trying new things! I also like running, yoga, and being outdoors (when it's not too cold!).
