Alysha Lundquist

Welcome to my page! A little about my history: I have taught at many schools with different age levels and subjects. My first two years of teaching, I substituted for the Proctor and Duluth districts by Lake Superior! This region is where I call home, and I gained a lot of experience in different classrooms by seeing an extensive number of unique students and by following the plans of many excellent teachers! Then I moved to Northfield, where I taught 6th grade Writing and 8th grade English. I liked this job so much I signed up for their TORCH (Tackling Obstacles and Reaching College Hopes) summer program, where I was the instructor for 8th graders in the morning and ran different clubs at Carleton College in the afternoons. After this experience, I discovered my passion for encouraging students to seek education after high school, which is when I joined the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) team in Inver Grove Heights. At Simley High School I spent 3 years teaching: 9th grade and 11th grade AVID, as well as English 10 and Honors English.  I'm very excited to be teaching here at SPPS Online. It is an exciting new step in my education career journey!
