Early Start Program

  • ACES (Athletes Committed to Educating Students, http://www.aces4kids.org) and Early Start have combined and have made a significant impact helping achieve the grant goals including; helping support standards in core academic subjects through tutoring, providing enrichment and recreational time and mentoring to the Kg – 8th grade students. ACES will be returning to the Early Start program next school year. B

    Discovery Club is SPPS Community Education’s fee based out of school time program. The Discovery Club at Four Seasons A+ Elementary School located at 318 Moore St., Saint Paul, MN 55104 is available for families looking for before school care (pre-k – 5th grade). The program begins at 6:30 am and they will provide busing to Global Arts Plus. For more information please visit http://spps.schoolwires.net/Page/391.

     

    EARLY START

    Who: All Kg - 8th grade students enrolled at Global Arts Plus

    Where: Global Arts Plus - Monroe Campus 810 Palace Avenue St. Paul, MN 55102

    When: Monday - Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. 

    What: A drop in morning program offered to students starting at 7:30 am. The Early Start Program is located at the Upper Campus in the choir room. Students participate in homework assistants, reading, amd board games until 8:30 am. From 8:30 - 9:15 a.m. students participate in a rotating schedule of computer time and open gym. Friday's is movie day! 

    The Early Start Program:

    Early Start is a free*  morning program offered to Global Arts Plus families (Kg – 8th grade)

    Early Start will begin: TBD

    Early Start hours are7:30 am – 9:30 am

    There is a $10.00 registration fee per family. Make checks payable to: SPPS Community Education

    Students are not allowed to be in the building prior to 7:30, no early drop offs will be allowed.

    The program is located at the Upper Campus. Students use the community room, choir room, gym, and computer lab.

    Students must be registered prior to starting. 

    Transportation must be provided to Upper Campus to participate in the Early Start program.

    Transportation will be provided from Upper to the Lower Campus at 9:10. 

    Global Arts Plus and ACES employees staff the Early Start program. 

    Early Start is dismissed in time for all students to participate in Breakfast to Go. 

    We will not accept students who have been suspended from the bus or one time drop ins. 

    Student must participate in the Early Start program a minimum of 2 days per week to maintain enrollment.
