Hunter Goetzman has been teaching in SPPS since 2018, first at Hazel Park Preparatory Academy and now Saint Paul Online Elementary. He has been teaching virtually since 2020, and prefers the online format in many ways.

He studied elementary education at College of Saint Scholastica (M.S.) and History, German and Teaching ESL at the University of Minnesota (B.A.). He has been teaching since 2007, mostly in the upper elementary grades. He is excited about being in grade 5 again this year!

When not teaching, Hunter enjoys cycling, playing Dungeons & Dragons, cooking and baking, playing with his young son and watching his favorite characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Mr. G has lived in the Como neighborhood of Saint Paul since 2015. He previously lived in Minneapolis for 11 years. He lives with his wife and son in a small house with a garden and a couple of huskies
