Hi! My name is Ms. Kempf and I am a 5th grade teacher at Hazel Park.  I am excited about getting to know Hazel Park students and families this year!   This is my 2nd year as a teacher in the St. Paul Public Schools district. Before coming back to St. Paul Public Schools as a Visual Arts teacher last school year, I taught at a charter school for 8 years. I taught kindergarten for 6 years and 2nd grade for 2 years.  Previous to that, I worked for St. Paul Public Schools as a TA  for 7 years. I also did my student teaching in St. Paul Public Schools. 

I received a BA in Geography from the University of St. Thomas and my MA in Elementary Education from the University of St. Thomas. 

When I am not teaching I can be found running, Olympic weightlifting, drawing and painting, cooking, playing violin and guitar, and fostering animals from the Animal Humane Society.
