Welcome to 3rd grade!

Of all the grade levels I have taught, 3rd grade is my absolute favorite!  I am so happy to be back for year 10 at Global Arts Plus.  I have taught over 25 years in St. Paul Public Schools.  I was a student of St. Paul myself back in the 70's at (then) Webster Magnet School.  I live in St. Paul with my husband Dave and my three children: Bella, Henry and Sally.   We also have 2 cats, Salmon and Venus.  They come up a lot in conversation!   My children all attend/attended St. Paul Schools and my husband teaches at Johnson High School.  We are certainly St. Paul Proud here!  In my spare time, I love reading historical fiction and love to knit.  I also bake.  Love to bake anything sweet!

This year is certainly different!  We will learn together how to make distance learning bring out the best in all of us!  We will encounter challenges and many successes.  We will spend a lot of time this month getting to know each other and building our class community.  Third grade brings a lot of great learning!  everything from addition to multiplication and subtraction to division.  We will read a LOT and will talk about books a LOT.  All are Welcome in our classroom and I can't wait to get started!

Feel free to contact me with any questions!  I look forward to spending the year getting to know your child.
