Hello, my name is Josiah Horn. Students call me Mr Josiah.  I am a school social worker at Rivereast Therapeutic School.  I work primarily with grades 7 and 8.  I have been working in St Paul Public Schools for 6 years in a variety of schools, and have been at Rivereast for 3 years.  Prior to working in the schools I spent time working in the area of children and family mental health. 

My goal in working with my students is to help them be their best self.  To me, that looks helping students learn to engage in their academics while engaging in behaviors that moves them towards their goals.  I work to empower students to find themselves and determine how they can do their best.

I grew up in the St Paul area.  When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, watching football (SKOL Vikings) and walking around St Paul.  I have 4 children, 1 dog, 2 cats, and 2 axolotls.
