Hello! Welcome to the 2022-23 school year!

 

Hi, my name is Eunsil Kang. I was born, raised, and educated in Seoul, South Korea. I was a teacher back in Korea. I moved to MN to study Special Education and English as a Second Language. I have earned three master’s degrees and three teaching licenses.

 

During this school year, I will be working as an EL teacher! I can’t wait to see my multilingual students grow, not only academically but also emotionally, gaining confidence about themselves with respect to their own languages and cultures. My desire is to ensure my multilingual students receive lessons in which they themselves are an integral part of the class. I view my multilingual learners as valuable assets to the classroom. I feel it’s my duty to act as a go-between for the families and school because I personally understand what the needs are for parents who have no idea what the American school system is all about.

 

Some facts about me: I have traveled to many countries all around the world! I go to Korea every summer to see my parents, relatives, and friends. I went to Turkey, France, and Korea last summer. I have also traveled to over 20 states in the U.S. I love traveling and learning about different cultures.

By the way, I am a huge foodie. Food is my comfort zone. I live for food. I love cooking, eating, and trying different foods! Basically, I’m all about food!
