CLUES CAREER PATHWAYS: The Best Buy Teen Tech Center at CLUES (7th and Arcade) has three awesome opportunities!  You can learn Film Making, Get some help on Resumes and Networking, or work in Project Invent (coding, designing, marketing).  See this form to apply.  Applications will close on Oct. 31st!  

MEDICAL CAREERS ANYONE?  MASCEND is a paid opportunity ($15 an hour) for high school students .  They are working to diversity the cancer research and care workforce.  It involves five 2-3 hour on campus science Saturday sessions, some 30 minute zoom sessions, and a possible paid summer research opportunity on the U of M campus. GET PAID TO LEARN CODING!  30000 Feet wants to pay you to get trained to code!  They can then connect you to a job at Health Partners in IT.  They are located right next to Johnson.  Anyone 14-18 can apply, all groups are welcomed.  See the flyer here.

THE YMCA IS HIRING!  They are looking for childcare workers, life guards, and swim coaches- $15 an hour.   See the flyer for more information.

BE AN ELECTION JUDGE! Check out this flyer to learn more.  You'll help people vote and register to vote on Election Day.  This is one-day employment and paid training (you only work on Election Day- Tuesday, Nov. 7).  You can do it on a volunteer basis if you need hours for your resume or for NHS.  

SPRING INTERNSHIPS WITH RIGHT TRACK:  If you know that you want to do a Spring Internship (January through May, roughly 80 hours) please send me an email mary.voigt@spps.org or stop by my room and see me, room 2422.  

EARN AS YOU LEARN- This program provides SPPS high school students the opportunity to earn a $300 stipend to learn financial literacy skills, earn a certificate and/or credential to show work readiness.  Certificates include: Microsoft (Word, PowerPoint, and/or Excel), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), CPR/First Aid/AED, Customer Sales and Service, and more!

The commitment of time is around 30 to 50 hours.

ACE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM- Come learn about the Architecture, Construction, and Engineering program.  You can work with architects, engineers and others at a real architecture firm in downtown Saint Paul (BBDO) on a project.  You can compete for scholarships!  Internships may be available to students that participate.  Come learn about the program on Monday, Oct. 23!  Fill in this form to get a pass!
