Hmong Language Program Coordinator

Nyob zoo!
This is an exciting year to be at a new Saint Paul Public middle school. My name is Chivouayi Lo and I am the Hmong Language Program Coordinator. I have been a teacher for over 20+ years in Saint Paul Public Schools, as an elementary classroom teacher, an English language teacher collaborating with teachers at grades level K-12, and recently as a Hmong language and culture teacher at the high school level.
I received my Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota and a Masters of Teaching in Education from the University of St. Thomas. My life goal is to inspire others, be curious, act on new possibilities and, most importantly, empower others to have a voice.
My hope is that our school grows and prospers by uniting students, parents and educators to believe in the importance of language, care, and relationships. Each day, I am excited to see the young and curious faces at HLCMS as they go about their day learning about themselves and the world around them.
