Greetings Maxfield families!

My name is Jenea Fredrickson and I'm part of the 4th grade team at Maxfield. This is my first year at Maxfield as well as my first full year of teaching and I'm excited to be a part of this wonderful community. Last year, I taught 5th grade at Jackson Elementary and prior to that, I had spent time as a substitute in different St. Paul schools. I graduated from the University of Minnesota with my M.Ed. in Elementary Education in 2021. An interesting fact about me is that I have lots of animals (4 cats, 1 dog, and 1 turtle). Outside of school, I love reading, writing, cooking, and watching movies with my friends. I also love to travel and have been to 6 different countries and would like to visit more. 

I'm looking forward to working with students to help bring out their best selves, both academically and as a classroom community. Through building strong relationships with both students and families, I hope to foster an environment where every student feels excited about coming to school and learning.
