Our Open House is Thursday, January 19, 2023, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Visit classrooms and meet Principal Bossard. All are welcome! No registration is necessary.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is French used in class?
Starting with full day Pre-K and Kindergarten, and continuing through 5th grade, L’Etoile students receive instruction primarily in French. In addition to the classroom, specialist classes such as Science, Technology Engineering, Art, Math (STEAM) and Physical Education are also taught in French.Our teachers are native or fluent French speakers from around the globe, and most have studied or lived abroad.
Do I need to speak French?
Families do not need to speak French at home for students to succeed at L’Etoile du Nord. In addition to helping students learn French, we provide support for English Language Learners.
Can I join L’Etoile at any time?
We welcome students to join L’Etoile du Nord at any point in their education, Pre-K through 5th grade. We invite interested families with children in 2nd grade or higher, who do not speak French at home, to meet with us to ensure L’Etoile is the best fit for their child.
What happens after 5th grade?
L’Etoile du Nord students can continue their immersion pathway through Hidden River Middle School (6-8) and Central High School (9-12). Students following the immersion pathway form strong social bonds that continue throughout their lives.
Can I enroll my child if I don't live in the school district?
Yes. L'Etoile du Nord is open to all children in the metropolitan area. However, preference is given to students who live in the district.
