Meet the Washington Administrators


Ms. Stacie Bonnick - Principal

  • Ms. Stacie Bonnick is extremely proud to be the Principal of Washington Technology Magnet School. She has served St. Paul Public Schools as an employee for over twenty-five years. Her career with SPPS began as a an elementary school/Title 1 teacher.  Once she completed her K-12 Prinicpal License from St. Mary's University she decided to leave the elementary world and gain some experience at the secondary level.  She was fortunate enough to land a spot at Humboldt Senior High School as a Literacy Coach.  From Humboldt she traveled to Como Senior High School to be an administrative intern and then Assistant Principal at Washington Technology Magnet School for 10 years. 

    Ms. Bonnick is a second generation graduate of St. Paul Public Schools, her mother, uncle and aunt all graduated from Murray back when it was a high school.  She was fortunate to be able to attend St. Anthony Park Elementary School, Murray Junior High and then graduated from Central High School.  After graduation she headed to St. Cloud State University in Minnesota where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a Minor is Minority Studies.  After finishing college she moved back "home" to St. Paul and was extremely excited to be contracted as a SPPS teacher .  Within two years of her teaching career she returned to college and earned a Master's Degree in Education and a K-12 Principal License through St. Mary's University in the Twin Cities.  Looking for another opportunity to strengthen her leadershiop skills Ms. Bonnick returned  to St. Mary's Univeristy in 2006 and earned an Education Specialist Degree.  Special interests include Literacy development, College and Career Readiness,  AVID, curriculum planning and helping to make sure all students succeed academically, socially and emotionally.  When she is not at work she loves to spend time with her family especially her two children, a daughter who is twenty-six years old and a son who will be a junior at Osseo Senior High School this coming school year.  She enjoys reading, a good movie at the theater (with popcorn of course) and long walks with their dog Rocky.

Ms. Shauna Bock

Ms. Bock is excited to be back at Washington this year as an Assistant Principal. She previously worked at Washington as a Special Education Teacher and a Special Education Instructional Coach. This is her 16 year working in St. Paul Public Schools. 

Ms. Bock earned a Bachelor's Degree in Social Science from Metropolitan State University with a 5-12 teaching license in Social Studies, a Master's Degree from the University of St. Thomas in Special Education with an emphasis in Learning Disabilities, a K-12 Principal License and a Director of Special Education License from Hamline University. 

She will be working with students in grades 6-12.

Dr. Kate Hinton

I am very excited to join the 6th grade team this year.  I am a passionate about education and look forward to working with our newest Eagles!

I have spent most of my career at Washington Technology Magnet School.  I started as math teacher and subsequently became a content coach, curriculum coordinator, program coordinator, and assistant principal.  I completed my Doctorate in Educational Leadership at University of St. Thomas in 2017.  I also hold a Bachelor of Finance from Michigan State University, a Master of Arts in Teaching from University of St. Thomas, and my administrative licensure from Hamline University.   

When I am not working, I enjoy traveling, reading, and visiting with my grown children.

Mr. Steve Hoemann

I am very excited to be joining St. Paul Public schools and the Washington Team!

Prior to coming to Washington in 2019, I spent one year as a Dean of Students at Burnsville High School. Before that, I was a Science Teacher at Tartan High School in Oakdale, MN for 23 years. While at Tartan, I also worked as the Science Department Chair, Summer Credit Recovery Coordinator, AVID elective teacher, Guidance Counselor, Link Crew Coordinator, and coach of three sports. I earned my undergraduate degree in Biology from St. Olaf College in 1992, my graduate degree in school guidance and counseling from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in 2001 and my K-12 principal licensure from Hamline University in 2015.

In my spare time I enjoy fishing, hunting, going to baseball games, and spending time with my family.

I can't wait to work with the 7th grade teachers and students at Washington, and hope to help all of our students achieve success!

Mr. Dean Keenan

Mr. Dean Keenan is beginning his fifth year as an administrator at Washington Technology Magnet. Mr. Keenan began his career in St. Paul Public Schools as a social studies teacher at Ramsey Jr. High in 1987. Mr. Keenan moved to Harding High School in 1994 where he continued to teach social studies and coach basketball. Mr. Keenan moved into administration in 2000.

Mr. Hsajune Dyan

I graduated from Saint Paul Public Schools in 2004 and excited to be back at Washington as an Assistant Principal. I look forward to working with the 8th grade teachers and students at Washington. Go Eagles!


Before coming to Washington, I worked as a Bilingual Education Assistant at Phalen Lake Hmong Studies and Como Park Senior High School. Then I spend a few years at district offices, which included Communication Department, Multilingual Department, and Office of Family Engagement and Community Partnerships. I earned my undergraduate degree in history from UW-River Falls in 2008, graduate degree in Public and Non-Profit Administration from Metropolitan State University in 2015 and K-12 principal licensure from Bethel University in 2019.


In my spare time I enjoy reading, traveling with my family, and watching sports – all domestic major sports leagues and major European soccer leagues.
