Heidi Koury brings a wealth of experience in helping all students feel represented and accepted for who they are. She has served as an elementary teacher, administrator, and most recently, as dean of students for Burnsville High School. Mrs. Koury understands the importance of collaborating with staff and families and embracing the unique gifts that each child brings. Throughout her career, she has created schoolwide systems to improve student achievement, strengthened reading, writing and math programming, and built positive school culture through relationships with students, staff and families. 

Mrs. Koury looks forward to returning to Cherokee Heights where she first began her career as a student teacher in 2004. 

Mrs. Koury has excellent academic qualifications with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Minnesota State University Mankato, and a Master of Arts degree in educational leadership from Concordia University.
