Ms. Michelle Anderson

Hello and Welcome!

My name is Michelle Anderson. This is my 9th year teaching Montessori-E1 at Crossroads. Prior to Crossroads, I taught 6th and 7th grade Language Arts/Reading and K-1 Reading Intervention. I graduated from Minnesota State University-Mankato with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pre-Primary, Elementary, and Middle School Education. I went on to graduate school and received my Master’s Degree in Literacy Education from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota, along with my K-12 Reading Licensure. Keeping a growth mindset and my joy for learning, I continued my education by receiving my Montessori Certification in E1 through Midwest Montessori Teacher Training Center in Chicago, Illinois. I received my TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) Certification through Grand Canyon University-Arizona in May of 2020. I am currently pursuing my Educational Leadership Specialist Degree (Ed.S.) through Concordia University in St. Paul.

In my free time I enjoy the outdoors, traveling, watching and attending sporting events, golfing, walking/hiking, random adventures, music and dancing, family and friends. I studio danced on a competitive dance line for 11 years, coached high school dance team and am a Zumba instructor.

I’m looking forward to developing academic and social spirit in our community! Room 1402 strives to be independent, responsible, respectful, and ready to learn!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions via email or phone.

A great year ahead!

Ms. Anderson
