Hello Families and Welcome to Third Grade at Capitol Hill! 

I am thrilled to be teaching in this exciting school where learning happens at many levels. In addition to my Masters in Education, I have a B.A. in Communication Arts and have worked as a reporter and a writer in various roles around the country. I've also lived and worked in Japan and traveled throughout the world. I look forward to learning about your children and their interests, travels, and skills.

I live in Saint Paul with my husband. I have a son and daughter who are also living in Saint Paul and are working in the areas of writing and education.  

I am honored to be a part of the third grade team at Capitol Hill. We will learn about and have fun with the UFP space unit, the crayfish science study, a Walk on the Wild Side as well as attend several field trips. We will also enjoy daily math, reading and writing lessons. We incorporate socioemotional health and learning about the brain into our curriculum as well as ways to get our minds and bodies ready for learning in this fast paced world.
