Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Middleton

My name is John Middleton and I teach Orchestra and Strings. I grew up with a excellent public school band and orchestra experiences in Wisconsin, and earned Bachelor and Masters degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Colorado.

I am a violist in the Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra and perform violin or viola in various groups in the TwinCities. Apart from my passion for fostering a lifelong love for great music in my students, I like to ski, hike, kayak, and sail.  My wife, Jocelyn Kalajian, is also a musician who sings with The Singers, Minnesota Choral Artists and teaches voice and chorus at Century College. Our daughter lives in the area and also be plays violin in the Metropolitan Symphony.
