Degrees and Certifications:
Masters of Education Spanish
Queridos padres y familias,
Bienvenidos al año 2019-2020. I am looking forward to teaching this year. I hope everyone feels refreshed and ready to learn.
A little bit about myself ...
I grew up in St. Paul and attended St. Paul Public Schools through high school. (I'm an alumni of Capitol Hill)
I received my Spanish degree from the University of Minnesota.
I spent a total of 2.5 years travelling and studying in Mexico, Central, and South America.
I have taught in St. Paul for 17 years and Minneapolis for 1 year.
I live in St. Paul with my husband and four children (U of River Falls, Central, Ramsey Middle, and LNFI).
I fiddle, Scandinavian style.
The things I enjoy doing most are spending time with my family and friends, experiencing nature, travelling/camping, xc skiing, playing soccer, gardening, and cooking.
I care about the environment and also creating a well-balanced life.
In the future I would like to be a forest ranger.
This summer I spent time learning about racial justice, being with my family, trail running/hiking, and cleaning out my house.
Again, I am extremely excited for this school year and look forward to both teaching and learning with students. My main goal is to create fun, engaging Spanish language activities to boost student morale and bring them together in a cohesive community.
