BIENVENIDOS AL KINDER

Mi nombre es Laura R. Ferraro, y yo seré la maestra de Kindergarten de su hijo(a)el próximo año escolar.  Me gustaría presentarme y contarles un poco de mí.  Yo nací en Monterrey, Nuevo León, México y he vivido en Minnesota desde el año 2000.

En México fui maestra de escuela primaria por 13 años y simultáneamente fui catedrática en la Universidad por cuatro años. Por 9 años, estuve enseñando en el Kindergarten bilingüe de la Escuela Elemental de Roosevelt y voy a iniciar mi décimo tercer año aquí en Adams.

Sé lo importante que es el hablar dos o más idiomas y estoy muy contenta de ser parte de la escuela Adams porque podré enseñar a mis pequeños estudiantes el idioma español y la cultura y al mismo tiempo aprenderé mucho de ellos.

En mi salón de clases trabajaremos con letras, números, lectura y escritura, y además también tendremos oportunidad de divertirnos, todo en ESPAÑOL!!!!!

My name is Laura R. Ferraro, and I will be the kindergarten teacher of your child next school year.  I would like to tell you a little bit about myself.  I was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico and I have lived in Minnesota since 2000.

 In Mexico, I was an elementary school teacher for 13 years and also a professor for 4 years at a university. I have been teaching in the Bilingual Kindergarten at Roosevelt Elementary School for nine years and I will start my thirteenth year at Adams.

 I know how important it is to speak two or more languages and I am very happy to be a part of Adams Spanish Immersion School. By being a teacher here, I have the opportunity to teach your children the Spanish language and culture at the same time and I will also learn a lot from them.

 In my classroom, not only will we learn letters and numbers, but we will also have the opportunity to have fun, and the great thing is, everything is in SPANISH!!!!!
