Ms. Lisa Koelfgen-Faust
My name is Lisa Koelfgen and I teach Individual and Community Health. I have been in the district for 29 years and graduated from University of St. Thomas in 1987. I am a licensed teacher in Elementary Education, Health Education and a Drug and Alcohol Counselor. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, participating in outdoor fitness activities such as hiking, running and cross country skiing. My passion is gardening and I love the changes in the seasons. I am looking forward to a great school year!
The goal of the health and wellness curriculum at Johnson is to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to make informed decisions that would enhance their personal wellness and that of their respective communities. Wellness is about being aware of the choices we make and how those choices impact our lives. Health class focuses on areas of life-long health and wellness. These areas include physical, social, occupational, financial, emotional, spiritual, environmental and intellectual health.
