Degrees and Certifications:
Margaret Fiedler earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from College of Saint Benedict in Saint Joseph, Minnesota. She majored in Mathematics and Minored in Secondary Education.
Prior to coming to Saint Paul Public Schools, Ms. Margaret worked at Saint Patrick’s School in Hudson, Wisconsin; Saint Francis School District in Saint Francis, Minnesota; A Home School Co-op in Ham Lake, MN; North Hennepin Community College in Brooklyn Park, MN; and various other non-educational jobs. Margaret started in SPPS at Harding High School teaching Math (11 years). While teaching at Harding and at the Math Resource Center at North Hennepin Community College (17 years), Margaret earned a Masters degree in Teaching and Learning from St. Mary’s University, Winona, MN.
In 2002 -2003, Margaret took a leave of absence for a year from both jobs and taught Math at Dresden International School in Dresden, Germany. In 2003, Ms. Margaret returned to Harding and NHCC until the Fall of 2007 when she worked as SPPS district professional development as a Secondary Math Coach. During that time, Ms. Margaret was an adjunct instructor for Saint Paul College teaching remedial math classes (1 year) and taught online evening high school math classes through Gordon Parks in SPPS.
Ms. Margaret came to LEAP High School in 2011 as the PLC Coach and in 2013 happily returned to the classroom teaching Mathematics at LEAP High School.
