Degrees and Certifications:
Hello! My name is Byron Carter, and this is my 9th year teaching in the Special Education Program at Hidden River Middle School. I attended and graduated from Saint Mary’s University for my education licensure and Master’s Degree in Special Education. Here at Hidden River Middle School I teach Math Concepts, Global Studies, Study Skills for High School Readiness, and a Foundations class. I support students in 6-8 grade. I am proudly committed to guiding our passionate students through the transition from elementary school to high school. While teaching students in our Special Education program, I am very passionate about giving our students at Hidden River a positive experience through middle school.
Away from school I am currently living in the city of Brooklyn Park with my wife and my two sons who are four and thirteen years of age. I enjoy teaching, and helping young teens build positive relationships in the classroom. When I am not working, I love to spend time with my family especially my two sons. I love spending time with my oldest son by helping him learn how to play baseball, football, and basketball. We also enjoy biking, fishing, and spending time in our beautiful parks. I also love spending time with my youngest son, by reading books to him and playing with his toys. We also enjoy practicing sports in our back yard. This year he will start his educational journey in pre-school. Last but not least I am originally from Joliet Illinois, so I am a huge Chicago Bears fan!
I look forward to being back in the classroom to support Hidden River scholars. Please let me know if you have any questions that I could answer. The best and quickest way to contact me is through email at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also leave voicemail by calling 651.293.8860.
