School Comprehensive Improvement Plan (SCIP)

  • Saint Paul Public Schools engages in a process of continuous improvement. At the school level, a major tool in the improvement process is the School Comprehensive Improvement Plan (SCIP). The SCIP is a strategic document that district schools utilize to identify annual improvement priorities at each school. The ten components of the SCIP are: Overview, Data, Analysis, Goals, Strategies, Aligned Learning, Title 1, Family Engagement, Assurances and Signatures.

Highlighted below are the areas of focus for the 2017-2018 school year. 

       

      School Description:

      The American Indian Magnet School builds an active community of learners through a focus on American Indian core values including love, wisdom, respect, and environmental responsibility. Teachers work together to use the best educational methods to help all students achieve and perform at high levels.

      Mission:

      At American Indian Magnet School we emphasize an American Indian cultural perspective to provide a high quality education for all.

      Vision:

      Circle of Learners--Strengthen the Circle through Building Relationships, Honoring Traditions, Growing Minds, and Living Values.

       

      Goal -READING:

      The percentage of all students scoring proficient or higher in Reading will increase from 13% to 22% by Spring 2018 as measured by the MCA III Reading Assessment administered April 2018.

      Goal - MATH:

      The percentage of all students scoring proficient or higher in Math will increase from 11% to 18% by Spring 2018 as measured by the MCA III Math Assessment administered April 2018.

       

       

       

       

      Goal: Positive Behavior Intervention System (PBIS)/Restorative Practice

      Tier 1 Implementation will increase from 17 % to 90 % as measured by the Tiered Fidelity Inventory Scale Score by 05/01/2018.
