Hello!  I'm Mr. Cortes, and I teach science and the AVID elective course here at AGAPE high school.  This is my second year here at Saint Paul Public Schools, and I absolutely love being part of the AGAPE staff and student family! I've been teaching science for almost 14 years, and prior to teaching I was a geologist for about an equal amount of time.  

 

My favorite thing about teaching is earning the trust and engagement from my students by showing them real-world connections through topics in science and AVID.  In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my partner, my 12 year-old daughter, and my dog.  We all enjoy travelling, going camping and hiking, snowboarding and skateboarding, and love to cook and watch cooking shows!
