Degrees and Certifications:
Hello, my name is Emily Kraus and this is my sixth year teaching at Chelsea Heights. It is my tenth year in St. Paul, and my fifteenth year as an educator. I am looking forward to my new role as an intervention teacher here at Chelsea Heights. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, where I studied Spanish and Psychology. I completed my Masters of Arts in Teaching at Hamline University in St. Paul. Before Chelsea Heights, I taught second and third grades at Adams Spanish Immersion in St. Paul, as well as at Richfield Dual Language School in the Richfield district.
I live in Burnsville with my husband and our two children, who are seven and five. In my free time I enjoy spending time outside, especially visiting lakes and pools with my kids. I also enjoy reading, watching movies, and traveling when I get the chance, especially to the North Shore.
I am so happy to be teaching at Chelsea Heights, and am impressed daily at what a wonderful community we have here.
