Degrees and Certifications:
Hello, my name is Emily Kraus and this is my third year teaching at Chelsea Heights, but my first year in first grade! It is my seventh year in St. Paul, and my twelfth year as a classroom teacher. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, where I studied Spanish and Psychology. I completed my Masters of Arts in Teaching at Hamline University in St. Paul. Before Chelsea Heights, I taught second and third grades at Adams Spanish Immersion in St. Paul, as well as at Richfield Dual Language School in the Richfield district.
I live in Burnsville with my husband and our two children, who are four and two. My husband teaches chemistry at Harding High School in St. Paul. In my free time I enjoy spending time outside, especially playing with my kids. I also enjoy reading, watching movies, and traveling when I get the chance, especially to the North Shore.
I am so happy to be teaching at Chelsea Heights, and am impressed daily at what a wonderful community we have here.
