Degrees and Certifications:
Hi, my name is Elizabeth Mikel (pronounced "Michael") and I am the speech-language pathologist at Dayton's Bluff Elementary. I provide speech and language services to students in prekindergarten to 5th grade. I absolutely love working with children and empowering them to find their voice. Students I work with have been diagnosed with one or more of the following communication disorders.
- Articulation disorder: difficulty producing speech sounds
- Language disorder: difficulty with understanding and expressing thoughts and ideas
- Voice disorder: poor pitch and/or quality of voice
- Fluency disorders or Stuttering: excessive repetitions of sounds, words, or phrases
I received both my Bachelor's and Masters of Science Degrees in Communication Disorders from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, working out, baking, and tackling house projects.
