Hi I am Katina Edwards born in Saint Paul Minnesota! I graduated from Saint Paul Central High School and attended University of Minnesota Twin Cities. I received my B.A. and Master of Art degree in dance and birth-6 Elementary Education/Curriculum and Instruction. I received my K-12 reading license from Concordia University of Saint Paul.
I have been in the education field for over 20 years. I first started off as an special education assistant and a substitute teacher for Minneapolis Public Schools. Then I worked at different charter schools as a Kindergarten teacher for 5 years. This is my tenth year with Saint Paul Public Schools. My philosopyy for Kindergarten is that all children can learn and be their best through the power of play. I spend most of my time planning fun hands on activities for children to learn and practice their skills in reading, writing, and math. As well as helping them develop their social and emotional skills.
I enjoy snorkeling, traveling, dancing, water aerobics, zumba, motorcycle riding near the North Shore, being outdoors, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
