I have surpassed the 30 year mark of my teaching career in St. Paul Public Schools and am proud to say that all have them have been at RHS!  My first years were in 5th grade, and I am in currently in my twenty-first year teaching Kindergarten. I adore working with Kindergartners; they are refreshing with their views on what is important: lost teeth, the treat in their lunchbox, finding a stick, rock, ice chunk...

My husband (also a SPPS teacher) and I grew up in St. Paul and are products of St. Paul Public Schools. You can often find me in my classroom until the traffic clears in the afternoon, at which time I begin my commute to our home in Marine on St.Croix. In our free time, we enjoy restoring our 140 year old home, relaxing on our houseboat and attending sporting events, with hockey being top on the list. We cherish spending time with our son Blake and daughter Brinna, who are now college graduates exploring career options and itching to (permanently) leave the nest.

I thoroughly enjoy traveling to historic places and have spent time in 30 of the 50 states, all with my husband of 30+ years. I judge most of the books I read by the cover, I love to sing to 70's music on the radio and nibble on Flaming Hot Cheetos when I'm in the driver's seat on long trips, and I live by the saying "If you love it, it will work... that's the only rule."
