Ms. Fitzgerald
Welcome to Randolph Heights! This year is my 36th year of teaching, and my 27th year at Randolph Heights Elementary School. This year I am taking on a new role here. I will be the Intervention Specialist for students in grades 3-5. I will be working with students to support their learning in literacy and math.
Prior to my position here, I taught at another elementary school in St. Paul for five years and at a parochial school for another three. My experience has been in grades one, two, three, and four. I received my teaching degree from Winona State University in 1986, and earned a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the
University of St. Thomas in 1995. Since acquiring my Mastered degree, I have added an additional 60 credits. Aside from really liking the job I get to do every day, I enjoy my life outside of school as well. I love reading (surprise!), gardening, travel, good movies, baseball, chocolate and cheesecake - not necessarily in that order.
My husband, Brian, and I have 3 children: Erin, 34, Tommy, 32 (and wife Pam), and Andrew 30. Oh, and we also have a dog.
Nellie is a schnoodle (part schnauzer, part poodle) and she's just over 7 years old. She fills the house with lots of fun and helps us get past our "empty nest syndrome".
I look forward to a fun and exciting year!
