Ms. Fitzgerald

Welcome to an exciting year in third grade. My name is Monica Fitzgerald and I am privileged to be your child's teacher this year. This year is my 33st year of teaching, and my 24nd year at Randolph Heights Elementary School.

Prior to my position here, I taught at another elementary school in St. Paul for five years and at a parochial school for another three. My experience has been in grades one, two, three, and four. I received my teaching degree from Winona State University in 1986, and earned a Masters degree from the
University of St. Thomas in 1995. Aside from really liking the job I get to do every day, I  enjoy my life outside of school as well.  I love reading (surprise!), running, travel,  good movies, baseball, chocolate and cheesecake.  Not necessarily in that order.
My husband, Brian, and I have 3 children: Erin, 31, Tommy, 29 (and wife Pam, 29), and Andrew 27.  Oh, and we also have a dog.
Nellie is a schnoodle (part schnauzer, part poodle) and she's just over 4 years old.  She fills the house with lots of fun and helps us get past our "empty nest syndrome".   This past Spring she even went with us on a road trip to Seattle.  I look forward to a fun and exciting year!
