Hello, and welcome to 3rd grade!

The 2021-2022 school year will be my 10th year at Randolph Heights, and my 28th year with the St. Paul Public Schools, both as a classroom teacher (grades 1-6) and a Literacy Specialist.  After a year and a half of teaching remotely, I'm absolutely delighted to be back in the classroom!

When I’m not teaching and having fun with third graders, I’m enjoying time with my own three children, who are now all young adults. I'm not sure how they all of a sudden became adults, but it happened! It is true, they grow up quickly!

Although children are my passion, I do have a life beyond them! You can often find me biking the Minneapolis trails, camping in the north woods, seeking out the latest restaurant, or dreaming about my next travel destination.  I spend the summers outside as much as possible whether it's kayaking, running, hiking, camping or gardening - outside is my happy place! :)

My personal belief is that all people have a story to tell, and I transfer this belief to my students.  I love that the children in my class are individuals who come from many different places, with many different experiences, and with a variety of perspectives.  We continually build on these differences throughout the year so as to grow as a classroom community.

I am fortunate to be a part of the Randolph Heights staff, and I look forward to welcoming you into this wonderful community!
