My name is Mrs. Denae Olsen.  I am the band teacher here at Randolph Heights after school for 4th and 5th grade students.  I full-time at Parkway middle school.  I grew up in Minnesota and left for two years to teach in Phoenix but missed Minnesota too much.  I graduated from Southwest Minnesota State University with two degrees in Music Education with Instrumental Specialty and Elementary Education with Math Specialty.  I have been teaching for 12 years.  I love playing in concert bands and my main instrument is flute.  I have also played trumpet, baritone, and saxophone in concert bands.  I love to sing as a past time.  I grew up in a very musical family.  I'm a pet person and own a cat and dog and have a one year old son.
