Mrs. Phyllis Pleshek Blilie

Phyllis Pleshek Blilie has been a teacher at EXPO for 21 years. This is her 30th year teaching in Saint Paul Public Schools.  Phyllis has a Bachelor's Degree in Social Welfare and a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.  Ms. Blilie received her K-6 elementary teaching license from Augsburg College.  Before Phyllis taught at EXPO, she was a licensed parent educator in ECFE in SPPS.

When she is not at EXPO Mrs. Blilie enjoys playing banjo and guitar, hiking, riding bike, kayaking, reading, and traveling with her family.  Each summer she vacations with her family in the state of Washington. Last summer they also vacationed in France.

Mrs. Blilie lives in northern Shoreview with her husband, Jim Blilie, and their youngest son, Jamie.  Jamie is a 9th grader at Mounds View High School; he loves to fish, play saxophone, and photograph birds.  Jim is a mechanical engineer at Boston Scientific, and he builds and plays guitars in his free time. Mrs. Blilie LOVES just about everything at EXPO: kids, parent volunteers, special activities, staff, and looping!
