Ms. Landreau

Dance & TOK Teacher & Diploma Program Coordinator

Hello, I am the IB Diploma coordinator and a classroom teacher here at Highland Park Senior High.  I teach IB Dance and Theory of Knowledge, the capstone class in the IB program here, which is open to 11th and 12th grade Diploma and Honors students.

I have taught at HPSH since 1994, and became IB Coordinator in 2001.  In addition to my current classes I have also taught  20th Century International History, History of the Americas, Psychology, Liberal Arts History and Geography.  Prior to teaching in St Paul I taught for six years in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and got my teaching license at the University of New Mexico.  I majored in Cultural Anthropology at Macalester College, and earned an MPA degree at the Hubert Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs at the U of M.

Currently I also advise the Senior Class Council and National Honor Society.

As president of the Minnesota Association of International Baccalaureate Schools for six years I worked with coordinators from the 45 other IB schools in Minnesota and the Department of Education.  I have also served on Citizen's League Study Committees, as a committee member for the SAT II US History Tests,  and as an IB History Assistant Examiner and IB School Consultant.  My interests outside the fascinating world of public education include dance, Latin American fiction, and any outdoor activity.
