Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Alethea Jameson

Hey there~~ I am delighted to continue my teaching practice at Highland Park high school.  Prior to being at Highland, I taught an assortment of courses including 9th grade English, 10th grade English, American Literature, World Literature, Children's Literature, Lovers in Literature, and International Film Studies for many years at Harding high school. This year I am excited to teach 10th grade English and 11th grade English.  I anticipate guiding students in thought provoking discussions surrounding interesting literature, film, poetry, and drama while they strengthen their written and oral communication skills.

A bit about me: I graduated with my BA in English from the U of M Twin Cities, earned my teaching license from St. Catherine University, and my MAed in Gifted and Talented Education from the University of St. Thomas. I grew up in St. Paul and graduated from St. Paul Central.   In my free time you will likely find me with my three children at playgrounds, passing out popsicles, and reading. I need art, music, coffee, my family, laughter, and kindness in order to thrive. When I grow up, I hope to learn how to play guitar, throw pottery, and travel extensively.
