Ms. Noah
I started teaching at Highland Park in 2012 . I have taught general chemistry, accelerated chemistry, physical science and biology. Previously, I was a teacher at Fridley Senior High where I taught forensic science. I also spent 5 months as a long-term substitute at Lincoln International High School in Minneapolis, where I taught chemistry, physics, foundations of science and ELL science.
I received a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Bemidji State University where I minored in chemistry. After many years of working with youth on backcountry trips, I realized I enjoyed helping others explore and learn about themselves and their surroundings. I made the decision to get my teaching license and went back to school and received my Masters of Science Education at the University of Minnesota.
When not teaching, I love to read, take my beagle and my two children for walks to the park and just enjoy time playing outside. I have been canoeing in the Boundary Waters since I was 12 years old and it just may be my favorite place to get away. Something interesting about me is that I was a park ranger at Itasca State Park for one summer. I lived in the park, which was a very unique and great experience.
