Ms. Kallestad

Hello!  My name is Beth Kallestad and I have been teaching for over 20 years in St. Paul. I graduated from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa with a double major in American and World History Secondary Education. I received my M.Ed. from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. Prior to teaching at HPSH, I taught at Arlington High School, which is now Washington Technology Magnet School.  I have taught a variety of classes, such as World History, U.S. History, Civics, African-American History, Social Studies, Career Investigations, and Human Geography.

In my free time I enjoy traveling, reading, playing sports, and spending time with my family and friends. My favorite sports teams are the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Vikings. I have traveled to many places throughout the United States and abroad, such as South Korea, Brazil, Jordan, Belize, Israel, and Guatemala. Most of my time is now spent with my children.

This year I will be teaching World History.  Please utilize Schoology to find course information, assignments, resources, etc.  I am looking forward to a great school year!
