Elementary Two (EII)

  • Welcome to E2 at J.J. Hill Montessori!

Elementary Two classrooms are mixed groupings of fourth, fifth, and sixth graders. Students spend part of their day in small group lessons and part of their day pursuing independent work. Hands-on, self-correcting materials support students' ability to learn without direct instruction from the teacher. Presentations are intended to "strike the imagination" of children, and inspire them to pursue subjects of personal interest.

There are five Elementary Two classrooms located on the southwest corner of the building. There are approximately thirty students per classroom. Students use a variety of learning resources in addition to the rich complement of Montessori materials, including textbooks, computers, and our newest addition, Smartboards.
