Assistance League of Minneapolis and Saint Paul

The Assistance League of Minneapolis and Saint Paul supports Maxfield Elementary in multiple ways:

Operation School Bell / Clothes for Kids Program - All Maxfield students receive two pairs of uniform pants and two polo shirts free of charge.  Uniforms are distributed in late September and throughout the school year as new students are enrolled.

Academic All Star Program - Two times each year, in February and May, students who have made significant academic gains in reading and/or math recieve an Academic All Star uniform shirt during the monthly school wide assembly.  Volunteers from the Assistance League are there to distribute the shirts and congratulate the students.

Grants for Teachers - Maxfield teachers are supported through mini grants that address specific projects.  Examples of grants that have been awarded include activities with MN Book Arts, fieldtrips, and special events for families.
