Welcome to Kindergarten!

Kindergarten is a busy year! The daily schedule is filled with lots of opportunities to practice literacy and math skills as well as time to build community with our school family. Each day, we will have a morning meeting, reader's workshop, writer's workshop, a visit to one or two of the Obama specialists, math time, active learning, and outside play. Our scholars will develop many skills to support their growth as readers, writers, and mathematicians. We focus on social emotional learning and plan to have lots of fun through play! Kindergarteners will have lots of chances to explore the different centers in the classroom and the world around them. Our hope is that each kindergartener feels loved and challenged to be their best self each day!
