  • Did you know? Kids who read for just 20 minutes a day are more successful in school and life.   Make reading a part of your child's evening routine.  This habit of night-time reading will help your child learn to connect reading with relaxation.

Ms. DeBoer

Hello, my name is Ms. Angela DeBoer.  I am your child's 2nd grade teacher in Room 1325, and I am looking forward to getting to know your child this year.

I graduated from the University of Northwestern in St. Paul with a Bachelor of Science in Educational Studies in 1998.  In 2004, I received my MN licenses in Elementary Education (K-6) and Social Studies (5-8).  I have 4 years experience in charter schools and over 15 years experience working with children.  I am privileged to be a part of the Mississippi Creative Arts School family and community.

My teaching style is using best practices to ensure that all my students are learning and engaged.  I am passionate about education and a strong advocate of developing confident, honest, responsible and respectful citizens.  I choose to invest in our future leaders!  I have hope that someday my students will use their minds and hearts to improve the quality of life for themselves and others.

I was born in South Korea and grew up on a farm in South Dakota.  I have 3 older brothers and 1 older sister.  I enjoy embroidery, hiking, wakeboarding, sports, and hanging out with my family and friends.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at 651-293-8840 or you can email me at angela.deboer@spps.org.
