Welcome to Eastern Heights

  • Our small school has a big heart. We are a "family". Nestled in a quiet East Side neighborhood, Eastern Heights Elementary celebrates inclusion of the rich cultural diversity of our students and their families each day. Teachers here know there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to education, so we focus on Restorative Practices, Culturally Relevant Teaching, and Integrating Technology into our academic instruction to Personalize Learning for each child. Eastern Heights Elementary: Educate for a Better Tomorrow

    Ms Bernetta Green

Ms Green is a FINALIST for Teacher of The Year!!!

PTO Eagle Family Group- We hope to see you for our next meeting (Second Tuesday of Every Month). Invite your friends to join us as well to support our school. As always childcare will be provided, so bring the little ones. Come to get involved & voice your joys and concerns! We are looking forward to family voices on our school decision-making teams! We hope to include your guidance in making our school better for each student and representing cultural relevance in our academic and social school community curricula.

Watch for upcoming opportunities to help us in decision making and planning for the upcoming year!

    We're here WITH YOU!

Our Superintendent Dr Gothard speaks to the Strategic Plan calling for Culturally Relevant Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), Restorative Practices and Social Emotional Learning.

At Eastern Heights each person has gifts and talents, is peaceful and kind and is here to learn! We are a Restorative Community at school, at home and in our community. We are very excited about our implementation of Restorative Practices as we support our community of learners small and tall, through building strong relationships, responding to challenges with an Innocent Classroom Project lens, Restorative Impulse, Trauma Sensitive Practices, PBIS, and developing our Social Emotional Competencies.

Wellness Wednesday Community Circles- Join us Wednesdays from 8:00-9:00 am: A restorative space to join our staff and share in mindful reflection, learning together, having a voice in your school, asking questions, and open dialogue conversations about hopes and dreams for your children, your families, your school, your community.  (We are looking for other times that work for more families- please let us know if there is a better time for YOU!) robin.king@spps.org, 651-744-6655
