Our small school has a big heart. We are a "family". Nestled in a quiet East Side neighborhood, Eastern Heights Elementary celebrates inclusion of the rich cultural diversity of our students and their families each day. Teachers here know there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to education, so we focus on Restorative Practices, Culturally Relevant Teaching, and Integrating Technology into our academic instruction to Personalize Learning for each child. We are excited to take our Family/Teacher conferences to the next level. We look forward to centering our conferences on listening and building family relationships and engagement. At Eastern Heights we focus on collaborative learning opportunities, and providing personalized learning through traditional and tech integration strategies. This year we have heightened awareness of our committment to raising up our students as readers and the powerful impact that reading has on other areas of learning.
At Eastern Heights each person has gifts and talents, is peaceful and kind and is here to learn! We are a Restorative Community at school, at home and in our community. We are very excited about our growing implementation of Restorative Practices as we support our community of learners small and tall, through building strong relationships, responding to challenges with Restorative Impulse, and developing our Social Emmotional competencies.
Join us most Tuesdays from 5:00-5:30 pm in the Restorative Center for Community Conversation Circles
