Thank you for an incredible 2024-25 school year! While I have only been here for a short time, I hope this year was filled with learning, growth, laughter, and lifelong memories for you and your students. I hope that everyone can find some time to relax and recharge so we can begin the next school year with clear minds, open hearts, and the determination to help every student succeed.

Earlier this year, the Board of Education approved a new districtwide cell phone policy in response to state law. In general, cell phones and other personal electronic devices will not be allowed during school hours. High schools may create a plan that allows devices before and after school, between classes and/or during lunch. Most schools will communicate their procedures before school starts in September. The new policy is also in effect for summer learning programs.

SPPS and the Saint Paul Federation of Educators held their second negotiations meeting on Thursday, May 29, for the 2025-2027 contracts for Teachers, EAs and SCSP. All proposals will be posted on the SPPS negotiations website and SPFE bargaining page.

During Ramadan this year, students who fasted were offered meals to take home to consume after sunset. Nutrition Services is asking families who participated to complete a short survey and provide feedback on how this program worked for their students.
