The SPPS Schoology News Group has all staff enrolled and is designed to provide quick communication about important Schoology related things, e.g. Gradebook syncing, section linking news, outages, etc. For new staff to join the Group, the Access Code is RM6MZ-TC97J.

Schoology automatically generates an email that is sent to all members of the Group whenever an Update is posted. The information provided often can save people time trying to figure out why something is working, or it may provide information on how to do something.

Follow the steps below to ensure you are receiving these important updates:

  1. Be sure you have setup email forwarding from your Google Apps email to your @spps.org email. Schoology sends emails to your @stpaul.k12.mn.us email address, which we use so Schoology connects seamlessly to Google Apps. Here are the directions: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/10957?hl=en
  2. Be sure to turn on email notifications in their Schoology settings for the SPPS Schoology News Group. Follow these directions to be sure you are receiving email from our Schoology News Group whenever an Update is posted:
    1. In the pull down menu you can select On/Off/Custom. Selecting Custom allows you to specify from which Groups you want to receive emails, so one Group might be turned off why ours is turned on. 
    2. You can also turn on texting for these Notifications to receive them on your phone.
