Website Support
⚠️ Important for 2025–26: All schools and departments are now required to meet digital accessibility (ADA) standards. Images without alt text will no longer display on the website. All content must be accessible — including PDFs and Word docs.
Welcome to the SPPS Website Support page. This guide provides resources, tools, and how-to guides for school and department web administrators using Finalsite Composer.
News & Updates
New This Year
Traditional teacher pages have been replaced by the Constituents app. Teachers can no longer edit or manage their own "Teacher Page." Instead, staff profiles (which appear in the staff directory) are now the only editable option. These profiles include contact info, a short bio, and optional links to classroom resources like Google Docs, Schoology or Seesaw.
Teachers are grouped on classroom pages based on their job title and location in PeopleSoft. To move a teacher to a different grade-level page (e.g., from Grade 3 to Grade 4) or to a different location, their job title and/or location must be updated in PeopleSoft. Once that change is made, the website will update automatically.
Finalsite Forms replaces Let's Talk. All schools and departments are now using Finalsite Forms. Let's Talk was discontinued at the end of last year. Web admins can log in to download form responses. Responses are sent via email, not Finalsite.
Enhanced ADA compliance focus is now in effect. We are enabling a new feature that will hide any image that does not have alt text. This encourages better compliance and screen reader access.

Getting Started
Login & Access
Website login credentials have changed. Only individuals with an Admin login can edit school or department websites. If you believe you should have access:
- First, get approval from your supervisor.
- Then, submit a request using the Communications Request Form.
- If you need your password reset or you forgot your username, please submit a request via the Communications Request Form.
Note: To maintain quality and consistency, the number of admins per school or department is limited. Teachers no longer have editable “Teacher Pages” and may only update their personal profiles through the Constituents app.
