Parent Academy
Saint Paul Public Schools Parent Academy is a six-week district-based program designed to help empower parents to navigate the school system and advocate on behalf of their children's education. Topics include background of the program; home, school and community connection; relating self-esteem and positive discipline with academic achievement; the importance of reading; exploring our children’s options in school and postsecondary; and the benefits of attending a college and financial aid opportunities.
Who is it for?
Parent Academy is offered to any parent/guardian who has a student attending an SPPS elementary, middle, or high school.

What do parents receive for Parent Academy ?
- Five sessions once a week for five weeks (offered in multiple languages)
